I had such a blast last night! I had all of my nieces and nephews, actually we were missing a nephew, over to make their valentines boxes for school. Whenever I pull out my stamps, papers and inks they are right there ready to stamp along with me and they are always wanting me to teach them how to stamp and to come up with different ideas (and I would be lying if I didn't tell you that they have definitely taught me a thing or two). I love the look on their faces when I pull out the Big Shot and roll a die cut cut made out of paper, or ink up an image and press it to paper, it's like they have seen a miracle happen. I love how the little things make them so happy and I especially love that they to be involved with me and my passion of Stampin' Up!

This is Daxton, he is 3 1/2. He decided he wanted to make a "camo" box. So we used Choco. Chip, River Rock, Always Artichoke, and Sahara Sand. I think it turned out Fabulous! Stamp sets that I used to create what he calls "Buck" are Natures Silhouettes and Varsity Alphabet was used to stamp his name. Dax is so darling I wish he would smile so you can see how beautiful it is. I love this kid! He is so proud of his box, and don't think we won't be filling it up come valentines day!

Starting from left to right, is Daxtons sister Jaecee, then Bailey, my mom Sharon, and Bailey's little sister Brinley. The hands that you can see working on Daxton's box are Amuri's, Jaecee and Daxtons mom.

They all turned out adorable! Way to go guys!

Valentines Day is creeping up fast! Don't delay! These are such fun ways to personalize individual cards for the Big Day!

I saw this sooooooo cute little punch out people on a blog but I can't seem to find it now! Sorry to whoever's creation this is> let me know if it was you please! :)

Boy: 1 1/4 circle punch, no punch for his hair- you just have to design it the way you like it.

Girl: 1 inch circle punch, owl punch for her hair.

Both use: 1/4 inch punch nose and ears, googly eyes and markers for mouths, and small oval punches for bodies. Blush Blossom for the flesh color of their skin, sorry it's retired though.

All of these cards are Real Red, Early Espresso, Pink Pirouette and Basic Gray.

The Two Step Bird Extra Large punch (#117191) is one of my favorite punches! It also coordinates with the Hostess level 1 clear stamp set Punch Potpourri which is how I was able to give this adorable little bird it's decorative design of whisper white swirls.

Springtime Vintage DSP, Baja Breeze, and Old Olive are the coordinating colors.
Used the same punch to make "branches out of Old Olive and Pear Pizzaz"
The "nest" was tricky. Punch out a small oval (#119863) using Crumb Cake, take Tombo Multipurpose liquid glue (#110755) and some pieces of Hemp Twine that you have wet and roughed up a bit and glue them to the small oval punch. The "egg" is the bird's wing of the punch that I had inked and situated so that it is oval and just peeking slightly out from underneath the Bird.

The Two layers are 4 X 4 and Tie 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon (#114319) around the whole front face of the card.

Soft Suede, Pretty In Pink, Wild Wasabi, and Very Vanilla is the color combo that I used for this card.
The new and fun Tulip embossing folder for the Big Shot made a beautiful border.
Be My Valentine from the new Occasions mini was inked in Pink Pirouette and using a blender Pen I gave the image some low lights in Rose Red. Note: After you ink the stamp with Pink Pirouette take a Q-tip and spray it with stamp cleaner then use your Rose Red marker to color Be My Valentine back in.

Again using the Punch Potpourri clear stamp set, stamp the Boho Blossoms in the color combo mentioned above and punch them out with the coordinating punch, Boho Blossoms Extra- Large #119858. Basic Pearls gives them a darling and 3-d center.

Scrunching ribbon is a cinch! Take a piece of ribbon and on either end and pick out one piece of thread that will run down the middle long ways. When you pull on it you will see it will start to "scrunch". Adjust it to your liking. Put a Piece of sticky Strip where you would like to adhere the ribbon and stick it down. We will be learning this in our next class!

Ok- so- In case you haven't noticed, I'm a little bit behind on my blogging. We have had to move all of the sudden and our new house won't be ready until the end of the month or into the next! YUCK! We have stored stuff all over the place! We are in my brothers basement with our dogs and boy what an adventure that has been! They are so funny- they don't know what to think but we have all learned to adjust for now. I have managed to keep all of my stampin' stuff organized and ready for classes so we will carry on as usual and I will be posting new projects soon! Please bear with me! My new house is so nice but I think I will be spending the winter pulling off wallpaper and painting! I just wish we were there already- patience is a virtue right? Hello! Here are some details about Stamp Class Scheduled for Sat. Sept 18th. Pictured above are the projects we will be making using the Mini Milk Carton Sizzix Die and the Stamp Set Wicked Cool (clear). Love It!!!!

There is a $15.00 minimum catalog order per person per class. I will be demonstrating a new project in every class. All projects come with written instructions for you to have so you will know how to duplicate them later. Some of my 3-d projects will require you to pay extra-for example the Mini Milk Carton Container was designed by a fellow demonstrator-the tutorial will be purchased for $3.95 from her and I will be providing all of the supplies needed-however it would be great if you could bring some things of your own-if you have them to help keep the cost down and to help move the class along faster. The total cost of the Mini Milk Carton is $9.00.

Hello fellow stampers!

Welcome to my blog! I have this beautiful and very easy card tutorial to show you. The flowers are made out of brown paper sacks.

Take three paper sacks- or more if you want to make alot of flowers. Using three sacks gave me six flowers of each size. Roll them through the Big Shot using the Flower Daisies Die #2 (114520 page 207)

Next you are going to ink them. I used Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, and Early Espresso. I inked them using Cherry Cobbler and More Mustard on the Largest and Medium Sized flowers. I used Early Early Espresso on the smallest-ink that one very light or use Chocolate Chip. It can get kind of dark.

After you've inked them- use some adhesive and layer them together. I think just a basic glue stick is the best. The paper is so thin that you don't need a stronger glue than this. Put them aside and let them dry really good.Now comes the funnest part. This is where they really come together and look so amazing! You'll want to distress them a little. Crumple them and play with them a little to get the look you want them to have. I wanted mine to be a little weathered too and the paper sack material is so cool- it just does its own thing. It will curl up in spots and crinkle in others-its pretty sweet! K- so after that I used some Silver Foil Smooch Spritz to give it a little glitter. Just set your flower down inside your scrap waste basket that has a plastic liner and spritz the flower until you like the look. Be sure to shake the bottle up really well- the glitter settles in the bottom.

Put a center like I did- using an Antique Brad (117273 page 187)

These would be so cute on a box of goodies too!

Happy Fall Ya' All! It's officially fall here in Utah-according to the calendar anyway. It has been so cool here at night. It feels great, but I think we are back up to the 90's this weekend! I guess that's good though, it gives us one last chance to get up to the cabin for one last weekend. Jason's grandparents own land at Lava Ranch. We haven't been able to even make it one time this summer-it went by too Fast!

This card is kind of a sneak peak of what's to come in the new Holiday Mini! Starts tomorrow and I can't wait for you to see all of the fun products that are going to be available for the holidays!

This stamp set is called Day Of Gratitude (clear of course)! :) It has coordinating card stock that is to die for! More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Early Espresso are the color combo I used here. I cannot wait to use this for our October class! I plan one month ahead for each holiday.

Happy Tuesday crafters!

Today was such a fun day.

There is a lot of excitement in the air from my nieces and nephews. School is starting next week and the Box Elder fair is this weekend. I remember those days of going back to school and the fair starting the weekend before. It was a time to dress up in our fancy new school clothes- we begged our parents to wear them for just one night, hoping that that would be the night when we saw our last year's crush and our new one. Meeting our friends at our favorite spot to watch other cliques walked by, especially the boy's! My family lived seven miles out of town. That may not seem very far away, but it was. Both of my parents worked full time jobs, so getting into town on a weekday was frustrating, especially when I would call my friends in town just to chat and they would be out with other friends- how dare they-I thought I was her best friend! :) The only days we could hang out was Friday nights and Saturdays. Sundays were reserved to be together at church and doing Sunday dinner's with extended family.

Yes, those were the days- when life was sooooo much easier and I didn't realize how hard it could really be! Jeeeeezzzzzzz! If I had known, I would have taken those days a little slower.

Anyways, this was my little "blast from the past" day. Jaecee, my seven year old niece, was showing me all of the contents in her new backpack. I looked at all those pencils and thought, "That's a lot of pencils and if her school days are anything like mine she will lose half of them in the first month!" So that's when the picture of the Mini Vintage Tags (118763 page 186) popped into my head. I knew exactly what to do with them. I have been waiting patiently for the perfect project I could use them on! So the cute little pencils were born! I spent most of the day helping her to make everyone of them-she wanted to do it by herself of course!

Hot glue a piece of ribbon to the pencil. Un-knot the thread to the vintage tags and put only one end of the thread behind the ribbon before you tie a knot. Then pull the tag up to the point of how far you want it to hang and re-tie the vintage thread knot. I used the classic ink that coordinates with the ribbon to stamp her initials on the tag. The stamp set I used is retired. I keep a few around for the kids to use so they won't use my current Stampin' Up! products.
Use the Calendar Alphabet and Numbers, it would be darling! (111610 page 162)

I love Sundays! Going to church, visiting family, and stamping the rest of the day! We had quite the storm today. It started out being a beautiful day and then WHAM! the wind kicked up and out the door we went to make sure everything didn't blow away! These are the days I love the most, stamping and listening to the rain. Only one more week and then summers over (sniffle, sniffle). But I am not going to miss the heat, at first. lol.

This card, found on page 96 of the 2011 catalog is the whole reason why I just had to have this stamp set. I could not get over how adorable that card is! This of course is my rendition of it since I don't have the Defining Alphabet #114952. Yet anyway.

Happy Monday evening! Yes, Monday's almost over! I was just a stampin' away this evening, relaxing and trying to make myself do quite the challenge, you know the "out of your comfort zone" type of a challenge. But much to my surprise, it was really fun and not as scarey as it seemed! What is always helpful to me is finding something that inspires you. Pick out a page in a magazine or look at some paintings, and other wall art, and then put it into action! Pick out a color combo from the Color Coach (121620) or use the colors that you see in what you've chosen to use as your sketch. I've used this sketch from another blog www.mojomonday.blogspot.com. Every Monday they have a new sketch.

This project is done in Cajun Craze (regals collection page 168) it looks like Pumpkin Pie in the picture but its not, I promise.
Basic Gray ( neutrals collection page 169).
Basic Black (neutrals collection page 169).
Designer Paper Series Wicked Fun Specialty (117400 page 172).
Embossing folder Finial Press (115963 page 214).
1 3/4" Scallop Circle Extra Large (119854 page 200).
1 3/8" Circle Large (119863 page 202).
Jewels Basic Rhinestones ( 119246 page 188).
Stamp set Wicked Cool (clear mount 120600 page 23)

1. Basic card Base: Basic Black 51/2 score @ 41/4.
2. Basic Gray layer: 4 x 5 1/4 Embossed
3. Stamp the spider web 5 times with Cajun Craze in on Cajun Craze card stock. Then punch out in the middle with 1" punch. I forgot to put that in the supply list, sorry.
4. Layer those behind a 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 strip of basic black.
5. Center those just right and leave to put the same size Cajun Craze next to it.
6. Basic gray size 2 3/4 x 3 3/4
7. Layer a size 2/ 1/2 piece of the designer paper over the basic gray.
8. 2 pieces of Basic Gray and Basic Black sizes 1/2" x 4". Layer Basic Gray slightly over the
9. Basic Black and place three jewels in a row. Duh! I bet you could figure that out! :)
10.Emboss in black "Have a Wicked Halloween" in black on gray card stock and punch out with 1 3/8" round punch and sponge around edges in Basic Gray ink.
11. Pop that out with a dimensional and layer it on top of Cajun Craze scallop circle.

And your finished!

I just love designer paper, Don't you! It adds so much with out doing too much to distract from the words that you want to say. I went ]over to my up-lines house to play around a little. She always has the Brand New cool stuff! And we like to have a day to catch up on things and do something we both love! I like to share ideas with other people, hence the whole blogging thing :) and love to see what we can create when we put our brains together. We are constantly amazed at how many talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators are out there, and we hope we can keep up! There are new ones all of the time! So, this is a card I came up with, I find the simpler the more beautiful. You don't have to have the latest and greatest to be a good designer and crafter. Don't feel like you have to go crazy, and have everything, use what you have and be open minded. You will never know what will grab you and turn your talents up side down, in a good way :)!

Good afternoon!

I just couldn't wait to do this project!

It was so fun and with a Mini Milk Carton Die (117310) it was a snap!

I used Wicked Fun Specialty (117400)
$11.95 for 12 double sided sheets (single sheeted paper with Black flocking). Flocking is so beautiful and it adds and element that is almost life like!

I also purchased a mini milk carton tutorial from Becky Roberts at http://www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com/ she is a fabulous stamper!
I'm a sucker for punches! Two-Step Owl Extra Large (118074), both square punches (119865,119877) both tag punches (119866, 119876), Word window (119857), Modern Label (119849), and the beautiful Dotted scallop ribbon border punch (119275).

Good Sunday evening stampers!

Today was a good day! I was able to stamp a lot and I came up with this beautiful card. I am so in love with the Love Letter #117162 designer paper. The possibilities are endless in my eyes.

Basic black, Riding Hood Red, and Very Vanilla just doesn't get any better than this. And with the antique brads (#109128) it's quite the show stopper!

Here's how I made this card:

Base: Basic Black. Cut 81/2 x 11 card stock in half at 4 1/4 then score in half again @ 5 1/2 and fold.

Layer one: Riding hood red. Cut down to 4 x 5 1/4. Run through the Big shot using the Perfect Polka dots embossing folder (#117335).

Tricky DSP maneuver: One one side of the Love Letter there is a pattern to run through the Big shot Top Note (#113463) die. It's look likes a wide ruled piece of paper. With the ruled edge on your left, where it should be if you were to write on it, you are going to trim it down and have fun aiming it to run it through the big shot. Sorry, wish I could do it for you!

Scallop circle flower: Page 123 in the catalog. Basic black.

Punch out 2: 1 3/4" scallop circle extra-large punch (119854).

Score the scallops from valley to valley ( in between the humps, the lovely lady lumps:))

Punch a small hole with the smallest hole punch on your Crop-A-Dile (#108362) in the middle of the scallop.

Cut in one of the score lines up to the hole on both scallops and STOP!

"Fan" fold the score lines.

Take the two halves and glue them together. Add your Antique brad (#117237) and a sentiment. Looking back I would like to see what a Riding hood red sentiment would look like!

Aren't these the sweetest things you've ever seen?!

I found the template here www.lovebugscrapbooking.com and absolutely fell in love with them. I made some for my sister-in-law's baby shower in Feb. and they were a hit (I made the baby boy shoes, I was handing out the template left and right. so you can imagine how I felt when I saw them in the new 2011 Stampin' Up! catalog (found on page 78). They are so easy! This is how i made them.

I am such a dork, I did the pictures backwards. If you know me, that's just me sometimes. lol.

If you look down below to the very bottom picture, you'll see I took two templates, cut them out and attached them to one sheet of 81/2 x 11 type paper then ran them through my copier on a trimmed down 81/2 x 11 sheet of designer paper. Cut out or you can trace them onto paper them cut out.

That gives you two left feet and this is where the ribbon comes in. You put your ribbons on the "strap" part of the shoe and make bows or paper flowers (or whatever you want to) on the opposite sides of the shoe so it gives you a left and a right. They are so addicting to make because the payoff is so worth it.

In case you haven't heard Stampin' Up! has made some new and exciting changes! I love it when they do that, because I get to have so much fun reorganizing and sending retired products to stamp heaven to make room for new stuff! Wooooo Hooooo! Although it is kind of sad.

It took me an entire week to go through my stamp room. I sorted out all of the inks. paper, stamps, and everything else that is retired, into their new color palettes. There are seventeen retired colors. sniffle, sniffle. I am pretty attached to some of those, like Close to Cocoa, Cameo Coral, and Summer Sun.

The top picture shows all of the classic inks that I will be selling. I put them in baggies with their markers so they can be sold together. I also found these slats at Lowes. They are great to hang card on them with hooks. I'm not quite sure where I got the hooks, But the sleeves you can get at www.clearbags.com. Cards are great to hang in view where people can see your great work and it helps you or your husband (wink) to find a card when you need one. Always find time to work on projects, like cards, stalk up and have a good variety, it will save you time in the long run! Nothing more says "I care" like a homemade card!

Oh the bottom photo shows you my new card stock and Dsp shelves. There was a department store that is going out of business and I bought it for $20! Its not pretty right now, its makeover will have to come later, I'm Pooped!

I will have to show you my retired stamp sets when I get them dug out. They are in Boxes right now.
